「柔らかな苔に覆われたミソサザイの壺巣のように、小さくても安心して落ち着ける、そういう家で暮らしたい」設計の初期の頃にクライアントより頂いた言葉です。この言葉を設計中ずっと頭の片隅に残しながら計画を進めさせていただきました。

このイメージの中で、上部から光が降り注ぎ、サイザルカーペットと木製の手摺壁が印象的な階段を中心とした回遊性のある空間をつくりました。2階階段ホールの上部には柔らかいノースライトを取り込むハイサイド窓を設けています。

ミソサザイは小さいながらも賢く「鳥の王」と言われています。 この家は永く快適に住んで頂くことを前提に、断熱性・気密性・設備や仕上げの更新性についても入念な打ち合わせをさせていただき、耐震等級3、省令準耐火、HEAT20 G2の高断熱仕様としています。

The client said to us in the early stages of the design process, “I want to live in a small but safe and comfortable house, just like the nest of a little turban shell. We kept these words in the back of our minds throughout the design process.In this image, we created a circular space centered around a staircase with impressive sisal carpet and wooden handrail wall, which is flooded with light from above. Also The upper part of the stair hall on the second floor has a high sidelight that brings in soft north light.
